Implementation Sites

Implementation sites

Health-care organizations across the province are invited to apply to become Tobacco Intervention (TI) Implementation Sites through this Request for Proposal (RFP) process.

The RNAO TI Initiative has been funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care since 2007. The purpose of the Initiative is to build capacity among nurses and other health-care professionals across Ontario to integrate TI best practices. This Initiative has reduced the number of clients who use tobacco across Ontario by equipping health-care professionals with the knowledge and skills required to support clients on their quit journey. Health-care professionals are trained as Champions through a one day in-person TI Workshop and by preparing their health-care organizations as Implementation Sites to implement the RNAO Best Practice Guideline Integrating Tobacco Interventions into Daily Practice
