Nearly 100 students attend an RNAO Tobacco Intervention Student Champions Workshop in North Bay.

Watch the footage of the day.

Students from Canadore College & Nipissing University attended a full day workshop presented by RNAO Implementation Specialist, Nicole Jeffery, RN, MN and RNAO Tobacco Intervention Specialist, Jennifer Callaghan, MPH.

The day consisted of learning more about the Tobacco Intervention (TI) Initiative, external speakers presenting, and students receiving the tools and resources to help them with Best Practice Guideline (BPG) implementation.

We would like to thank Canadore College & Nipissing University, the guest speakers; Lorraine Liberty from First Peoples Centre, Canadore College & Nipissing University, Tori Moxam and Brittany Young from Leave the Pack Behind and Terri Schneider from Smokers’ Helpline.

At the end of the one day workshop, students will join a network of Tobacco Intervention Best Practice Guideline Champions.
