Thunder Bay Site

Susan Trevisan, a Public Health Nurse at the Thunder Bay District Health Unit has over 5 years experience in tobacco control.  Recently trained as a Tobacco Treatment Specialist she spends a great deal of her time assisting adults and youth in their cessation efforts.  Raising awareness of spit tobacco has been a major focus since 2003 with ‘Tobacco Free Sports’ leading the way.  She has presented her work at a variety of conferences with an international appearance at the 2nd Annual Spit Tobacco Summit in Casper, Wyoming.

Within the organization she encourages her colleagues to fully embrace their role in tobacco by integrating smoking cessation best practices into daily activity.
